What is it like to die?

After my little brother died I had a dream about him. And I do not usually have dreams (everyone says that I have them and just don't remember, so I accept that, but...) and I have like 5 dreams from my ENTIRE life that I remember, and this is one of them.

My brother, who was no longer alive, was with me. And I asked him "How did you get here?" and he told me that he could not stay for long, and he started telling me about stuff. Then I asked him what it was like to die, and what he told me was "It's like having to go poop REAAALLLY bad and getting it out" then I woke up, and I had to poop really bad so it made a lot of sense to me.

So, to the version of my brother that was in my dream, death was like a release, like maybe being stuck in a tube or a cocoon and getting out.

What do you think dying is like?

It's like having to go poop really bad and getting it out.

Tough call...was it your subconscious informing you of your GI capacity limit being breached?
Or was it a trans-dimensional communication link with the beyond?

I know!
Let's ask Leonard Nimoy!

Dying might be like being born again.

I believe in reincarnation, so after you die, you get born again.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end. Wait... isn't that a song?

Here is the correct episode of In Search Of... I was looking for.
Dr. Prof. Cmdr. Nimoy asks the title question directly.

Unlike fin I dream every night and remember most of them........up to this point haven't asked a departed loved one about death or how well the toilets flush in the great beyond.
My mother passed away 2 months ago she was going in for emergency surgery.
She wanted to see my wife and I before they took her back to the OR the last thing my mother told the wife and I was that she wanted us to pray for her because she didn't think she would wake up from the surgery. Her fear came true she never regained consciousness she was 75
Now as I get older I think about death the after life and As I ponder those questions I somehow think that the way my mother passed was a good way to go.... but who knows what her thoughts were as she took her last breath was it like a dream and when she awakened she was some where different where her ailments were no longer a problem or was it like a light being switched off and it's just darkness.......I certainly hope its not the latter .I would like to think that we continue our journey evolving into the next level or our final destination where ever that may be.
Hey its like Fin said we all gotta go.... some worse than others

It is like sleeping, i died in the er two times the same day.
It was like a dream the whole life flashing i did not see.
It is still hazy and i wont ever fully remember
I saw black thats all and
It was very peaceful but i really feel there was more and its just to clouded to remember.

Depends on how you die.
