This is coming out of on of the leaves on my fern, I've had the fern for about 6 years and never seen this before. Is it a flower?

Aerial roots? Not an expert though...Google specific type of fern you have...Merry Christmas

I've had the plant for 6 years now, it was a small accent plant in an arrangement. I wonder how often they flower. I will post a pic when it blooms.
