well if its pruning outdoor grow to promote yeild yes and no i do out door grow and one plant i started trimming week 3 after flowering started and watched fo first signs of plant not needing leaves and trimming as needed ive found it forces plants to produce not so much bigger budd it does increase frost production on plant and it does help pop corn buds grow a bit bigger to increase size the most natural way is i believe mollasis and water quarter table spoon per gallon last two weeks of flowering this is something i am not sure of but read up info is here somewhere as for the untrimmed plant her buds are much smaller and frost is lot less at same point so i find with outside growing trimming does help also less rubbish at harvest time good luck with your grow and i hope this has been of help here is pics of my two you judge
