What is the Cadillac of trimmers?

hey everyone I am interested in trimmers, I have the Trimpro Original http://www.trimpro.com/en it is the 1600 dollar one. So during my last cut down, the very last ounce, I shit you not, my scissors get caught in the blade and bent the rod coming out of the motor that connects to the blade. So now the blade is cock-eyed and has a quarter inch chunk out of the and the grate has a huge gash in it.

I have the Trimpro Original it retails at 1595.00 i got mine for 1400.00 plus tax. It was a kick ass little unit 2 people could easily work on it, cut down work time by at least 100% more depending on the trimmers. We would set one person cutting off branches and then cutting the fan leaves, then 2 people on the trimmer, then they cut nugs into bucket. It use to take in between 110 to 130 hours trimming now down to 45 to 60 hours. The down side to this unit is it blows out trim out the side because the way the bag meets up to the fan. I had used self taping screws to screw sheet metal to the inside of the trimmer so that it extended into the bag, this cut down on almost all the trim coming out of the side. It would still have some come out of the top of the grate, it does make a little bit of a mess out of the bottom of the bag because the bag has small holes in it to let the air flow. I would recommend getting a small kiddy pool and set the trimmer in the middle, that way you can get all the trim, and i wouldn't use it on carpet.

so has any one tried any of the other trimpro products? or any other trimmers? i would like to know what y'all think, give a product review. What is the Cadillac of trimmers?

lol yes those are good for your closet grow... It takes way to long with scissors, I have had 6 people to 8 people sitting around a kiddy pool for 6 to 10 hours a day for about 5 days in a row or I get 3 people for 4 to 6 hours a day for 3 days. The wax i made off of the trim paid for the trimmer off the first harvest, 3 pounds of trim i got 50 or 60 grams of wax cant remember exactly.
but if anyone has any experience with these big trimmers i would like to hear your 2 cents

It can on the smaller nugs, but if it is smaller then a half inch it goes in the trim bucket. But if your not careful and your just smashing the buds into it then yes, i have not used the bigger fully automated ones so i can not speak on them. I did talk to someone that bought one of the big ones with the leather fingers that rolls the buds around on top of the grate, said it cut down on so much time he bought a second one for another spot.

I actually found out that I can replace all the parts I broke so I am going to. They have different grates that you can get for trimmer, the one that comes with the trimmer is a 7/16 inch grate. You can order yours from trim pro with a different grate or just buy it separately. They have a couple of different options for grates the one I want has the 7/16 inch and 1/4inch slots in the grate and i plan on getting it when i buy the rest of the replacement parts:wall:

Depends on your cashflo dude. A cousin of mine got a Tumbleweed trimmer last season...the thing is about the size of a table saw and he bought it used for 12000. I was down helping trim since the.greenhouse stuff gets a hand job ;~) and saw it in action... Have to say it does zip through the lbs and does a nice trim on big chunky buds but if you're trimming running Sativa varieties you will lose weight. He pays 20 an hour to fast skilled trimmers and even at 12K I figure it's saving him money in the long run as the hillside harvest is usually 150 to 200 lbs. Him and his wide n kids trim too but even 100 lbs at 15 to 20 an hour plus feeding people and ect cost more per season. Granted the tumbleweed isn't magical and won't do 100 lbs in a flash but it was a very nice machine....much more volume than the trimpro that I used to use. The tumbleweed also roller and collection mechanism. has a really nicely designed

Oops my phone swapped words around. Anyway if you are at a medium sized harvest level 10 to 20 lbs of indoor or something...I didn't see enough advantage to.the tumbleweed to excuse the price. If you go big though id say that midi is a Cadillac.

My friend bought an auto trimmer and it beats the shit out of the buds. I will not use it.
It took me and two friends 3 1/2 weeks to trim 4+ pounds out of my last outdoor harvest.
Deal with it or tear your product apart, it's up to you.
Good luck.

Edit:
I will follow the thread but in my opinion there is no such thing as a good auto trimmer.

yea i will admit i am skeptical of the full auto trimmers were you just dump the buds in and then open the door... then one i use isn't really automated, you control exactly how much is to be cut off, and if the buds do get munched on its because some one wasn't paying attention and mashed it into the grate.

Do you have a link because my friends machine, well it's sort of a butcher, if you ask me.
I'm following the thread to see if someone has something.
I mean who wouldn't like to not have to trim by hand.

Twister II hands down. It's what the big boys use.

They give a class teaching buyers how to run.

Use pam spray on blades and they stay clean much longer.

Yeah but you get pam on your buds that way obviously lol. I just use water. Works just as well but you need to use it more often. Not a big deal though.
