Only ever use the paper towel method, usually 24-36 hours for a tap root to show, once tho I remember waiting 5 days for one to crack open and it turned out to be a runt I tossed out after a month of giving it the benefit of the doubt

i use a water bottle with maybe afew inches of water at the bottom, toss the seeds in and put it somewhere dark , ie a dresser drawer. usually takes 24-48hr however some beans may take longer (ive had some take aslong as a week until they sprouted) and ive had amazing germ rates doing it this way.

I have 2 sleeslack skunks from freebies that took almost 3 weeks, they are very lucky they didn't get tossed. Just popped this week. 100% vermiculite (fine).

One of my buddies got a bag seed from a friend and he tried to germinate it and nothing after four or five days, so he put it a way for another few months and tried germinating it again and it finally popped after a few days.

Ive done some bag seeds just to practice germing and forgot about them..when I checked back they were all sprouted to their first 2 leaf sets in the paper towels lol

Some of these white fire seeds look like they have a white line where the seed cracks..one had a lil tiny root sticking out..they werein a cup of water and when getting the water and seeds out..that lil tap root broke off and dissolved..I never do water cup method..
