For sure over watering.
You may not want to spend the money on perlite and peat moss but I promise that your soil mix won't be worth a shit if you don't.

This is the new one I just got from the Medical Marijuana club today. Supposedly its Diablo Kush.
How many times every week should i water it? Whatever if no one can give me an answer ill just do the finger test.
