What is this? Heat stress, High PH?

Here's my plant:




There's the browning on those leaf tips. Is it heat stress or sumthing? I dont think it is Nitrogen deficiency as the embryonic leaves are still healthy. Its is a lowryder plant, 12 days old, no nutes as of yet. But i have some homebase tomato feed? Just last tym i OD my plants on em. So yeh help please

I dont think it is heat stress as if it were the leaves would crisp around the edges and curl upwards. Do you know the ph of your soil? Is this discolouration yellow or gold? Do you know the ph of the water you are giving it? For 12 days old it is tiny, even for a lowryder so I think we need to discount a few things first.

it sorta brown. But a more yellowish tip than gold, i dunno lol. I think it looks small cause im using some CFL's but i can't fit too many in. It shot up overnight though . I don't now the soil PH, thats why i was asking if this was the problem, if so i might need to start measuring or summit. But it hasnt seem to have got worse yet...

Just get the cfls within 2 inches of the top of them and they will grow outward rather than upwards which is what you want. If you have alkaline(high Ph)soil and/or water it will cause iron deficiency and yellowing of leaves, so I would get a Ph meter for starters they are invaluable. If the problem isnt rectified soon the crop will remain weak as they have had a stressful start, so not getting worse isnt a good thing.

Looks like your water.. filter it with a brita jug and then set your PH.
The number one cause of damaged plants is the minerals in the water (never use the hot water tap). Try it.

I think they are just getting hungry , Give them some small doses of food and they will be happy They go like this naturally at this stage ,,

Hi . Do you let your water sit for a couple of days to let the chlorine evaporate ? I had tips ( tips only ) that started to brown I tried letting the water sit and it seemed to work.
Granted that might not have been the problem, but shit every little bit helps

bingo, i used it once the other day . What i do is i put the water in a container and then let the container stand in grow box to give some humidity then usually the enxt day i pour it in and start again. I will use cooler water form now And the lights are quite close.

ok, now some parts on my plant have now gone a lighter green! They look dry. Is this a too higher temp?
