i came home and found these coming up.... the 2 little shoots under the top? i am new to growing, this is my first time..... what are they? the seeds i got from a friend. i havent cloned it for sexing yet, is that a bud? does that mean its female and i dont need to clone to sex it?

They are just new branches developing. Nothing to do with sex of the plant and not buds. At those same nodes eventually you will either see balls or pistils then you will know sex, or you can clone that top and flip it to 12/12 to determine sex. Buds will not form until 12/12 unless it is an autoflower. I always just let them show naturally.
 
ohhhh ok well now i feel like a retard lol thanks a lot! and what do you mean let it happen naturally? what if its a male? wont that mess your females up and make them produce seeds?
 
It's nodular growth which eventually (if female) will grow bud. Leave it alone let it grow. Hell, you could train them and you might end up with something like this.....

oh man i could only hope it turns out that good, i forgot to keep up with the weeks in veg lol yes i am a newbie lol but id say around a month or a month and a half, when should i put it into flower?i have it on 16/8 light cycle right now and will switch to 12/12 when i have to flower .... im honestly not sure when to flower though lol i want big buds

Yep, one plant. Was pineapple express. Veg them as long as you can given how much headroom you have. If you only have a foot or two you don't want to veg them more than a month. If you have more well, veg longer. There is no set in stone time. I only have 26" of headroom so I don't veg past 5 weeks. But I can also veg that long because I lst/top and scrog my plants.
 
i have topped it and lsted it i only did 1 branch though because i was scared lol ill do the other later i guess.... i have about the same head room as you. when did you put the treliss ? .... during veg? how would i move it to my flower area if i scrog it now?
 
hi mrshim, ive seen people talking about giving votes to people. how do i do that? im new here but want to give thanks for your help! as well as to the other guys. also would it be ok to scrog them when i move them to flower? or does it have to be done during veg?

You want to train your plants starting in veg. I top mine at the 4th or 5th node, then lst to get the nodular growth in light and do that until it fills the screen which I put down a few days before flowering. There used to be a like button but it vanished. Now all there is is the rep button which is the little sheriff's star.

U can "rep" mr shim or any member by clicking on the star on the lower left hand side of their post. A dialog box will appear.
