hey noticed this near the top of one of my plants. Under led in 12L pots. Temp has been exceptionally high over the last couple of days and I'm wondering if this could be anything to do with it?

I'm no expert but it looks like physical damage to the leaf. Is it just in that one place? Do you see anything that might have eaten it?

Leaves, like people are not all born perfect and we are under the misconception that they are . Sometimes as leafs unfurl they may be fused together causing some minor damage as they open. Im not an expert either just seen it before many times

Thanks. I'm guessing if it is a deformation of some sort it's been caused by the high temps over the last couple of days. Up to then it's been consistent as so maybe the shock of the few degree higher stressed em a bit

If that's the only spot I'm guessing a bug stopped in for a snack, and probably stumbled away in a drunken stooper then fell over and died somewhere close by. I have exactly same little chew marks on my plant right now. And I have some wierd regular fly infestation around here, they dont touch the herb now, but seems one did. Just a guess. I have this too and pinpointed it to a stupid bug. I'll get you the name of the bug I have, hold on, I found it on insectclopedia the other day...

higher temps and the edges of the leaf curl up

even point up in young veggies

like trying to shed excess heat

that tear is no biggy

and not heat related, unless you have a fan too close

good luck

Well that took me a while couldn't find it again or remember name, but I got it: This is what I have all over some infestation from outside got in and attracted to the MH lamp and when I found that little chew or whatever it is marks same as you, looks identical.

The caddisfly, closely related to moths and butterflies, so maybe likes to chew things.. tiny thing:

I just peaked at the veg plants before I was about to take off for diner, and low and behold, I found a fucker munching on the leaves or doing something. I found a tiny baby caddisfly sitting on OG leaf just now. PROOF! I pulled out the good cam got close up of it best I could.. little fuckers!!! First time ever seeing these things. Maybe same shit took some bites out of your plants.

Dr. Who, so what did that. I didn't rip her leaves, and I have caddisflies flying into the MH right on top of that Katsu. and then find little caddisfly on leaf. I don't have other bugs or problems. Enlighten me please. It didn't grow like that, like the OP's, which I agree with you about his issue.

Looks like some kind of larval stage damage = think caterpillar here.

Caddisfly larval stage is in rivers and streams.....They live in a cool "house" they build for themselves.

At this stage, removed from the "house" - they make great bait for Small mouth Bass and the native trout in that river/stream too.

The other part of the story is that. It looks like the offending bug took a few bites and went "BLEEH!" and moved on. Cannabis has that effect on many leaf eaters.
