what kind of lights do i need to get for my grow room?...

i have a 33x64 grow room and i want to update my lighting... as of now i have six 4' fourescent tubes (3 shop lights) i dont have much money and im trying not to spend much... any ideas?

on another note... is a red heat light a "red spectrum light"

HPS systems are red spectrum, elusive for flowering, and Metal Halide systems have more blue/white light, great for vegging but can be used for flowering. Not sure what you mean by red heat light but any other system other than LED, Flourscents, HPS or Metal Halide are inadequate for growing.

There are conversion bulbs available, so you can put a special metal halide bulb of equal wattage into a HPS system while vegging and switching back to the red spectrum of a HPS bulb.

Safety info: Only touch the bulbs with a soft cloth- skin oils and water can damage the bulbs when they get hot. Direct a fan onto the humming ballast to keep it cool.

you want either a 400w ceramic metal halide, or a 600 high pressure sodium.
some would swear by the hps, personally i prefer cmh.
your also going to need ventiliation.

or you could go cfl, need 2 43w lamps per plant
