What kind of lights do I need

-How much are you looking to spend?
-Are you willing to invest in a whole set up or just wanting a light to hang in your closet? ( some lights need a cooling system esp in a small enclosed space like a closet )
-3-5 plants could be too much for a closet unless you plan to flower immediately
-Are you doing soil soiless or hydro ?
-What nutrients if any do you plan to use?
-Do you live in a legal state? / the states
-So many other questions

Soil, if you have any advice for nutrients I'm all ears. And it all depends for the budget. I also thought about starting them indoors first

You really need to set up a grow just like you do a fish tank. Set it up, get everything running and work out your heat issues (Yes you will probably have some heat issues at first). After it's going and everything's running smoothly, then, I repeat then, crack you some beans. Making a garden in a closet will have some difficulties, it's just the nature of what you're trying to do. Starting with beans, then them outgrowing everything I had was how I started. Lol, don't do that, you'll have enough to do, fix, redesign (think McGuiver at 2am) as it is. I wish you the best.

What are the dimensions of your closet show us a picture. I'd go with a four bulb T5HO fixture and mixed spectrum bulbs:

Also line the closet walls with panda film for reflection to make the most out of your lighting, NO tin foil!:

To add on, I live in canada (Quebec) and yes I've grown before and everything turned out fine but I'm just looking for new ideas and advice now
