i have some seedlings now and im wondering weather to get a mix of 6400k and 2700k lights. or should i just get all 6400k lights for growing and all 2700k for flowering/budding? BTW im talking about CFL and t5 florescent lights.

Get the florescent for flowering, add some 6400k light aswell if you can, your plants will respond well to this during veg. Then in the flowering stage change to 2700k for flowering. You can either keep the other vegging lights aswell or take them off, florescents and 6400k (blue spec lights) are not very useful during flowering. Although more lights = better plants!

Current wisdom is to have 6000K or so lamps for vegging, 3000K or so lamps for flowering. But my light is 5500K and I use the same one for both.

HID lights put out more lumens per watt, making them more efficient at their job. HID all the way man.
