150 hps UNLESS you know about led's. ...there's folks on here who can help you with them...I'm talking dudes that build they're own who probably coulda went to MIT or some shit and they pull impressive yields rivaling many HPS growers ! Just gotta pay your dues and read..read..read

I've got that a Sun Systems 150 hps. For the price it's a great light. I still use CFLs for side lighting too. I'd say the 150 is good for one, maybe two plants (if you're a newbie like me). I have 3 under mine, and trained them a bit but I'm just not able to cover all of them adequately. I've seen some guys rock the 150s by LSTing, scrog, etc though. Can't say anything for the LED yet though, just purchased one for a small cabinet I built but haven't put my new plant under it quite yet.

Might be good for the hobby grower in a tent but definitely not on any kind of larger scale.
....and 2 autos is a HUGE commercial grow..not.o_O.how about making post relevant to the OP's question..

To the OP:

I'd say a minimum of 250W if you go HID (mh or hps). Or like Kimoolos said, 150W hid with some CFL side lighting. I started 2 under 354W 6 bulb T5, but when I moved under the 400W MH they blew up. I just put em under 600W hps to finish out the last 3-4 weeks. I'm not up on LED so i can't say there, but I'm a fan of T5HO's for vegging, but i do multiple plants spread over a 2' x 4' area so i need the coverage, you'll want more focused light for just 2 plants.

What's your space like, as you can tell I have multiple lights but I'm in a bigger area where heat can easily be controlled? A LED might help with heat if you're in a small closet or tent.

Turn all those 400 and 600s into 1000s and you'll never look back. Sounds like you got enough space, blow it up and do it right
