What light for 5x5, too many options

The more I read and watch videos the more I get more confused on what to get. I initially wanted to buy a prebuilt lamp then I stumbled across QBs and diy strip builds and thought maybe I could try that. Still pretty open to it, but I think I'm still leaning to getting a plug and play light first.
As of now, I have had these lights in mind:
HLG scorpion diablo
(2) HLG 320W XL V2
Opticled Slim 650s
Timber Fatty VS or Cypress 8
Geekbeast pro/plus

Please let me know what you think, or if you could start a 5x5 setup today which light would you go with.

Sounding like a broken record but gotta give Budget LED another shout out when someone asks. For the wattage you were looking for I would think 2 of these 330w Full Spectrum Infinity Boards. I bought the 4 panel 500w QB with the same specs below, and my plants are happy happy happy. I do wish now that I went with the 2 board option if some plants stretched more than others. All the individual boards have 2 separate switches on them. One is for UV on/off option and one is to switch for blue lighting to help veg or flick it the other way to add far&deep red lighting to the spectrum for flowering. Comes all prebuilt with dimmer too

There are 2 videos and sorry in advance for the low sound.

Your list of options are good. Theres no right or wrong answer, its all about preference and how you like to grow. As long as you stick to the basic 30-40w/ft2 of canopy space , you should be fine with any of the top tier Leds or Cobs.

HLG scorpion or Timber fatty would be my choices, mainly because you are dealing with the absolute best customer service in the game with both companies.

@RainDan for timber is pure class
@Stephenj37826 has always been legit in any interactions i have seen on site.

hmm decent prices would 2 of the Demon 165 Watt Grow do well in a 4x4 for flower?

I got an HLG scorpion (Rspec not Diablo, already have a good veg light) and I love it. It’s got a really low hanging height, let me grow my plants over a foot taller compared to if I had been using one of the other HLG lights. Haven’t looked at the Diablo specs much but I imagine it still accommodates for low hanging height.

thanks, was looking at the mars fc3000 but they are out stock but these look pretty good just curious because price seems real nice for 2 of them and would fill out the tent well

don’t give ur money to mars hydro. I bought some lights from them a year or so ago, I waited a month and my lights still hadn’t shipped, then I canceled the order and they said “oh sorry we just shipped your order this morning. If you want a refund you can ship the lights back to us.” So I did, they claimed they never got the lights for 3 months. Then they finally said they got them, and had to “process them” first for my refund. I waited like 2 months, calling them all the time to try and get my refund. After months, they finally responded with, “we’re sorry, but the return window for those items has now ended. We are unable to issue you a refund for your items.” $500... poof... gone. Marshydro are con artists. Be careful sending your money to them. I personally wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire, but hey, that’s just me.

i think you come up just a bit short for your flowering needs. The 2 boards only cover a 2.5x2.5 in flowering stage or 12.5ft of your 16ft of floor space lighting needs. Would need 2 of their 330w boards or buy the big one. I would do the 2 boards just to have that added height adjustment wiggle room if some plants grow taller then others

LOL folks stop posting plant pictures and saying "this is the proof". Any light can grow a plant.
Go and read technical data about lights, then this is the real proof.
so you're an expert on lights ? then if you really are why not help or try to help the OP. instead of being a bossy condescending troll why not help him out ? and for your information i did do my homework for weeks before buying the diablo , but you're the resident lighting expert so i should go and read some more right ? get a life and show some respect to others please .

page says 2.5 for flower each

i have 2 geek beast pros in 3000k .i like them them so far but have not completed a full flower cycle with them yet.
i have 6 of budget leds series 2 red spec in 3k 350 watt lights and have been impressed. i have run at least 4 full flower cycles with them. the added spectrums make a noticiable difference over my cxb 3590 lights(which are 3500k).the buds look like they finish faster and with more color.
the geek beast pro looks to be doing the same with the finishing faster and more colors in the buds.
how you plan on growing makes a difference in which lights you should get. i grow with a vertical scrog so better spread is more important to me.
more smaller lights can help when the plants grow at different rates ie lower one and raising another.
when pushing alot of light ,you really need everything dialed in. temps humidity a very well rooted plant to handle all the light.
what is your growing experience? if you are fairly new, i would get a few grow cycles under your belt with whatever light you choose dialed down on power. growing under 40 watts a s.f. might be optimal but is much harder when you dont have alot of experience. keep it simple to start.
if you are only going to have 1 light and do complete start to finish with it, i recommend using 3500k.
if you plan on having a veg area and a flower area,i recommend 3000 k for the flower light.
