I'm proud of charitable contributions.......really proud! I'm proud of the concept of equality we've embraced. I'm proud of our great human diversity. I'm proud of the grocery store. I'm proud of the post office. I'm proud of the electric company. I'm proud of capitalism. I'm proud of the fact we don't lynch libs, even though they deserve it. I'm proud of the freedom, the vast freedom, we have. I'm proud of this country because we are a country of proud people. We go around the world stripping other countries of their wealth and resources Just like the missionairies that came before us, all for the rich men that share power, the elites and the government, basically one in the same. When was the last time a commoner got to be Senator? Dennis Kucinich comes to mind.
The will of the people, what a joke. When was the last time Government asked you what you wanted? This is a beautiful and wonderous country, I love America, I'm just extremely dissapointed in the government of the USA.
Were it possible, I'd love to see the "people" take back the country, but alas the powers that be have pretty much made that a long shot with their military and private Army, Blackwater etc. And you thought Blackwater was just for fighting in foriegn countries,~LOL~.
The outlook for the USA in the long run, depends on what the people decide this election. The World is watching and judging. Our respect has been really tarnished in the last 7 years. Any hint of Election tampering will be met with Immediate world sanctions, from trade to honor, if we don't change our greedy ways, the world is going to exclude us from playing.
We've had viscious greedy governments in the past. From the Romans to the Capitalists. This government, the USA, is the quentessential candidate for the top position in greed.
Think about it. Rich men have the power and use it to make their lives easier. The system of capitalism offers those with good stature an opportunity to succeed, but eliminates the rank and file by virtue of availability on the success ladder. There are only so many slots open for success and those are controlled by those in power and their minions. To say it is corrupted would be a gross understatement.
The home of the brave and the land of the free is only half right now, we have some very Brave people in this country. I only wish the brave ones would get on the right side of reason.
No you certainly have misunderstood my position. I love my country. Even as a young man I gladly served three years in the Army, I thought it sucked, But stuck it out. I never liked forced discipline, militarism if you will.
I intend to enjoy as much of the freedom that there is left as long as I can, but as a harbinger of doom, I must say, the future looks dark unless greed takes a holiday.

It is not often at all that you hear a discussion of this magnitude and you will never hear it in the higherarchy of the more well to do circles.
The faith that we all have instilled in this country is still alive, the fact that we have something negative to say about it is beacause we have put forth our efforts as our forefathers have done in the past and for all our words and actions we find fall on def ears. And it fuckin pisses us off!
In our diplomatic and economic present day strife I find it hard not to have a negetive attitude twords things.
Though costitutionally god is mentioned 4 times.
Morality is the answer if you wait on god to fix things you will loose youre faith.

sure, we join in the carnage. we deal with the powers that be (usually corrupt, but isn't that the norm?) and get the best deal we can for the resources to keep business in business. just as europe colonized the globe, america is spreading its ideological colonialism. it would be nice if people cared more about people than power, but that's not how it is. now is it? to blame government for safeguarding american interests abroad is to scapegoat it for actually doing part of its job correctly.

the judgment is already in and, no matter what happens, the world will not be on our side until we are of use to them again. believing in the infallibility of world opinion is buying into the idea that they are all so much better than we are. the other nations of the world are at least as petty and corrupt as we are and, since we are the big dog on the block, the u.s. will always be a prime target of their sniping.

i suppose it all depends on your definition of success. as i've said before, the only limiting factors in a free capitalist society are luck and a willingness to take the necessary risks. social standing and wealth may be shortcuts available to only the few, but even ugly poor folk like me can attain a certain degree of success. believing that success is a right causes more failure than any amount of collusion. excusing indolence is one of america's greatest sins and rewarding it one of our greatest collective failures.

America has some beautiful Ntl. Parks like Grand Teton and Yosemite. Of course the current Guvmint is doing everything they can to destroy those. Hopefully the current regime is not long for this world. Things around here are going to get very very ugly economically before they can begin to get better.
