What metal halide watt bulb should I use in a 8x4

I’m going to use 2 600 watt hps in my 8x4 and I’m going to use a metal halide for the uvb as I’ve heard that it adds more trichomes and flavours etc. But now that I’ve picked out the metal halide I’m going to use ( eye hortilux blue daylight) there are multiple wattages I can use but I’m not sure what wattage would be enough for my tent. I will be growing 8 plants but I’m not sure about the strain, I might grow wedding cake on one side and gelato or cookies on the other.

mh put out much less lumens. either 2 600's or 2 1000's. you sure your ballasts can run mh and hps?

if you are using air cooled hoods, the glass will block the uv just as an fyi.
I’ll use 2 600 hps most likely with air cooled hoods on different ballasts and the mh bulb will be running on its own ballast with a parabolic vertical reflector. The mh bulb will be in the middle and the hps will be on either side.

you sure one bulb in the center will cover a 4x8? i doubt it. even a 1k will only cover 4x4 properly. and a 1k MH will throw out an ungodly amount of heat, way more that hps

I was hoping the 2 600 hps would cover the rest. I wanted the mh for uvb really. What do you think I should do? I’ve never really grown a large amount.

if you jst want uv,
get 2 of the 4 foot agromax pure uv T5 bulbs. i got mine from htgsupply. be careful, they produce dangerous amounts of uv.

i bought my bulb separate since i already had a T5 fixture.

so probably 2 48" t5 fixtures and the bulbs. not sure if htg lets you select that as a package deal?

Your problem will be heat.
