I got this Hanna which is a pita ... fucking thing doesnt give me a accurate reading just keeps dropping when inside water mixed with some nutes. But when I dip the whole thing in a nute bottle itll give me a accurate reading ???????????? Am I doing something wrong
Thats the only thing I can think of too .... Fuck I guess ill call the hydro store tomorrow since I bought it from them. Its going to be a tough one since I bought on Thursday and im sure ill get blamed for fucking it up . But , I really appreciate you chiming back in
you have to keep the probe wet on those things... maybe it dried out? or perhaps it was a pos when you got it, you know? not necessarily your fault, man...
View attachment 1074953...ec, is the electrical conductivity. The ec, can also be measured in TDS (total desolved solids). Like celsius and fahrenheit, you can get the reading in EC or TDS.
TDS will give the reading in PPM's (parts per million). If your going to use TDS readings , you'll need to know if your meter is @ .5 or .7 conversion.
I use a dipstick,it never needs to be calibrated water proof to 3 meters very durable,it is not digital and only reads down to 100 ppm.but I wanted a meter that didnt need to be calibrated and I like it very easy to use and I think I got it for under a 100 bucks
