basements are great. secure, within the house, and well insulated. getting air in and out can be tricky. the problem with my basement, is that its only 5.5 feet high. i still use it for veg, though. bongsmilie

I keep my electrical connections (extension cords, timers, power strips) in a 5 gallon bucket because I get a little water in my basement from time to time.

really depends on what the yearly climate is like in "Cannzbis Heaven".
What's the humidity and winter temps like?

problems with basement is any time you have any electrical, plumbing, central heat and air issues, etc you will have to move your grow op to make way for a professional to work on the issue. that is unless you know a mj friendly handyman… or you are a handyman yourself… then yer good. of course u can make the op stealth, build a room in yer basement and tell people its a darkroom or storage something like that. only other issue i have had in a basement is spiders, not anything that eats plants, I just dont like spiders, and spiderwebs r messy. I also had to put a AC down there in the summer and a heater in the winter

^yep, learned how to install a water heater that way. A homeowner should learn these things, growing pot has taught me so much....

The main problem I have had with my basement grow op is grower incompetence. Secondarily, I had a slight heat issue (lack of) in the winter that I corrected by adding a second 400W light for veg.
