@newdude well enjoy the pic's you can kinda see what result come out of this kinda stuff!

One issue...will the tops need to be secured to something as to not break the branches???

It is the Big Bud strain and that might mean heavy buds. Any ideas on what to use? Current idea is bamboo but that might get pricey!

I prefer not to top or fim simply because I don't have any seeds left and I don't wanna risk turning them into hermies or something. This may as well be bullshit but what/ever, I better play it safe before I get me some more seeds :)

Ah and thanks tabi. you have absolutely no idea how stoned I was when I thought of that :D

lol right on buddy!

@Austinmait

Have you posted any pic's?? It be a pleasure looking at some!

The strength of the branch, and how much bud it can support, comes down to how long you vegged it, and if it stretched or not. Stronger roots, stronger limbs, more support. If they start to bend just tie them to a stick or use some garden wire.

also supplementing with cal mag will give you nice strong stems as well as a fan blowing on the plants during veg. you can also super crop to increase the girth of the stem.

i sometimes like to top my plants. with some strains this produces more evenly sized colas in the end than if i lst. IME lst will still produe a main cola but the others will be almost as big and about the same height and when. i have had plants hermie on me but i never managed to relate this hermiing to toppping. usually a hermie is caused by light stress during the dark cyle in flower or mainly genetics.

My LST'd plants do the exact same thing... There is still a main cola, but the others just about catch up... But with less lower buds.

I've been supercropping my Lollipops, and it has been making their main stalk huge!!! They look like Pop-Eyes arms where I pinched them. It definitely helps.

yeah. next time you LST try topping that main stem, i think you will be pleased with the results. i lst throughout veg and then a week or two before i switch to 12/12 i top the main stem. i think this distributes plant growth hormones more evenly because all the other tops are about the same height because of the LST.
