its obviously n def this was my first go at hydro in a long time i bought one of those 4 bangers from htg and of coarse the bucket was black temps got too high and i get a bad case of root rot i nuked with bleach all is well they are just starting to recover but now i have this n def that's going downhill quick

when i first noticed it was starting to become a issue was when i was still treating for pyth i added i think 2ml per gal waited a few days no changes i figured i needed a res change anyways and i would rather waste a little bit of nutrient solution then waste 4 fem nl seeds so i changed res added 2ml super thrive for the stress 3ml dyna grow protek 20ml dyna grow -grow and 2ml bleach ph was around 5.5 pyth is still fking with my ph tho just checked and its at 6.2 i'll fix it later but not affecting N availability btw its a 3.5g res they are about 4 weeks old.

anyway they seem to be getting worse over night the rest of the bottom leaves have turned yellow im afraid to add more nutes as young as they're what should i do best answer +rep

oh p.s the browning tips i think are from the bleach iv really been nuking them waay more then i should have added root rot was bad and seeing as how they were so young it was either hit or miss either i saved them or i poisoned them. i got lucky this time

First I'd say that I would have liked to see pictures of the roots. If the rot set in too far, then the plants may never recover. I know you said you treated with bleach, and generally that's fine. However, the bleach may have simply cleaned up dead roots, giving them the appearance of being healthy, when they are actually dead (generally only happens in very young plants because they haven't developed much of a root system yet). I'm gonna assume that they are not dead. I'm thinking they are actually severally hurt and are having a hard time getting the nutes to the plant.

also, super thrive is VERY STRONG stuff! It should be used very sparingly. I used two eye drops per 12 gallons of water, which i consider a strong dose. I'd say your dose is way too high. It also messes with PH levels, so that might have been why you had such a significant change in your PH level. However, 5.5 is a PERFECT PH level so you're ok and I'd say leave it alone. Your plants are very young so I'd also don't use more than 1/4 strength nutrients. And for now I'd say don't bother with the super thrive. Let them mature for a few weeks.

the newest growth looks ok. Not as dark green as you want, but not yellow. Give them a few days and see how things go. Good luck.
