What should i do with this grow space? (problem, it's a little small)

It's about 44" tall, that leaves 28" growing space with light, and i can always take the rope ratchets off for an additional 5 inches. That's a 400W HPS dimmed to 50% which is about 200W and ill hook up a 4" venting system. So thats 28-33" growing space which sucks but can i do anything with it? Maybe train the plants so they don't go over 2ft? Maybe 12/12 from seed trained?

I plan on using soil, because organic growing is the best for me (with some downsides). I can easily do and have experience with hydro.
I just want to grow something as a learning experience. I have many different strains of professional seeds, but i'm probably going to use bag seed.
The room with the HPS is like 1'x3'x4' and the left room is 1'x1'x4' (LxWxH) i can break down the wall separating the two rooms for almost 4' width but i wanted to use that for the seedlings and mothers.

What do you guys recommend i do for some practice and hopefully some bud?


P.S. This grow room is still under construction. There is no reflective properties to this room YET, or a venting system.
P.S.S. Anything i grow will conform to laws and regulations in the state that i live in.

But your only option is fem seeds, since you cant train em 1 at a time and invest time just to find out it's got a cock

its a good space. i grow in a 1.5' x 3' space in a scrog and easily pull between 5-10 oz each grow

this is my last grow. i could have filled the screen heaps more but i still pulled 6oz out of there which is more than enough to keep me stocked until my next plant is ready.



i use a 400w HPS in a cooltube which helps to keep heat down but if you run enough ventilation you should be fine.

yea but the problem is i only have 28-32 inches to grow my plants with the pots, and considering plants get at least 2 feet tall is problem, because the light will burn them.
I'm looking into training techniques. i will SCRoG but that doesn't get rid of vertical space.

you could always try fim'ing them, will help a little with the verticle growth

LST. SCROG. Canopy control. And a dimmed down light. watch you temps in there you're gonna be fine

Tie em down.. I am 24 inches by 24 inches with 1 gallon pots that would fit in your specs.. These plants each will produce around at LEAST 2 but more like 3 ounces of very fine grass. These particular ones are maybe I dunno.. 15 inches tall?

Tie em down ya? This was close to a 5 ft Sativa(ush) tied down to about 1.. all fully in to flower, stretching days are over..
