what should i use to generate electricity?

I hope to start growing in a 10 x 8 garden shed i backyard, however I am unsure what route I should take to generate electricity for lighting/fans/pumps etc.. I cannot hook it up to my house for various reasons so I need a seperate portable energy source.

I just need help in what I should be looking into.

Sometime of battery? Portable generator?

There was a spammer who posted in this thread, advertising something that we don't want to see, so I deleted it.
