I used cheaphydroponics.com to get my 400 MH/HPS lighting system and it was awesome - fast delivery, cheapest price I could find on the internet for that model and great packaging!

My new favorite hydro shop: TheGrowLight
I've had nothing but EXCELLENT service from this place. Fast shipping and good quality merchandise. They have a "build your own" light link where they walk you through appropriate selections based on your previous choice. So for example, they start you off with Ballast... once you choose the ballast you want they filter out the appropriate bulbs for that ballast... once you select the bulb they next filter reflectors / hoods compatible with your ballast and bulb selection. It makes it really simple to get the light you want.
I love how fast they get the orders out the door .... I always get my stuff from these guys quickly (a little bit slower over the holiday). Once they forgot one item in my shipment.... I called them up... SUPER FRIENDLY person apologized and put my missing item in the mail that day... she also sent me 3 indoor/hydro gardening magazines as a "sorry for the shipment mistake".

Remember... you get what you pay for.... sometimes cheap is not the way to go... I'd say lighting is one of those things you don't want to go "cheap" on. I'm not saying the poster I quoted is wrong.... I'm just saying do your homework. I learned a lesson in "cheap" lighting the hard way.
