What size pots do you use?

What’s good everyone?

So I’m just over two weeks from seed and the girls are currently in 4inch pots (0.5L) ready for transplanting tomorrow.

The final pots are going to be fabric 16L

Im going to be potting up to 8inch (4L) then on to the final pot size.

Ive never really run them this way before as I have always gone from the 0.5L to 11L square pots with great results and obviously what minimises potting up to quicken up the veg times.

So what I’m asking is, do you think doubling up in pot size is ok then to the final 16L?

I don’t want a huge veg time and I can imagine you have to leave it a few weeks between potting up.

Also, what is your preferred method?
Thanks!

In the tent I use 7G fabric grow bags with Pro-Mix All Purpose Mix. Use the same soil but use 20G plastic garbage cans with holes drilled in for air/drainage outside.

My starters are .75g (instead of ups), and I transplant into 5g bags. Right now with Promix HP (unaltered) I'm watering 2g per bag every other day. That's about as often as I want to feed or water.

10 gal, I veg for around 8 weeks with "haggard topping" where I just snip off heads that are competing with others vs staking each branch so the canopy is level. I let nature do the work for me.

Both plants in this picture had 8 weeks veg, you can see the 10 gal definitely outcompeted the 5 with same everything other than pot size. Also, the 10 gal wasn't even filled all the way.. :bigjoint:
