What size room?

I've got a 1000 hps light and I plan on growing 4-6 plants, so I'm trying to decide what size room I should build. I'm thinking 5x5 or 6x6, something like that. I've got a max of 6 foot ceiling either way. Does the size of the room determine how much light my plants are going to get? I'd prefer to have some space for my plants to grow, but I don't want to build a bigger room if it means my plants won't be getting as much light. Thanks

Basically, to answer one of your questions, the smaller the room, the higher the density of light you can achieve with your lamp. For a space I am currently planning, I am running 2k for a 4x8 tent.

6x6 is the biggest I would go for a single 1k lamp.

BTW, My small tent is at 6 ft, you'll want to manage the height of your girls. I always have clearance issues with certain strains and the bigger the lamp, the more clearance your girls will need. Food for thought ;-)

i love doing shit to these plants to manipulate their growth, so ill be on that. Ill probly stick to a 4x4 or 5x5 then
