What soil to get

I live in a midwestern area with a lot of corn fields. I used foxfarms in the past and was pleased with the results. Unfortunately however the closest place to buy that is 140 miles away and it was a little pricey. I'm wondering if normal potting soil would give me some good results. I'm going to be having to haul it in and would rather save on some money if I can. Can you grow a good crop with miracle gro brand potting soil? I'm going to be adding nutrients later anyways.

I ended up making my own soil, and I used a bale of the Sunshine Pro Mix, and added perlight, coco peat, bat guano, worm castings, and some grow rocks, but you can prob mix and match different fertilizers and still get good results, and you can find everything you need at a hydro store or either online
