What to add to promix soil?

What kind of stuff do I add to make it better? Going to use general hydroponics Flora trio nutrients. Do I add vermiculite and perlite? Anything else? Bat guano or worm castings or what do I do? I only know hydro. What do you mix with your promix soil? I don't have time to make super soil. I need soil I can make fast

I only have a expensive bluelab hydro tester for mixing and feeding. What's some good cheaper soil testers that are reliable?

Is peat already in the promix or do you add it? I understand I can add perlite if I'd like too but don't have too. But do I add peat or is it in the soil already? I'm confused on that part

Pro Mix is peat, perlite , vermiculite and mycchorizae. Pro growing medium ready to go. Your Blue meter is fine. Do not worry about pH as much as DWC. It's low pH going in so untreated water buffers. You have to feed from the first. Unlike dirt.

Start with 1/4 strength nutes or around 350 PPM total including the water. Water thoroughly so it reaches the bottom.

Straight pro mix bx..i ph at 6.3..I'm using Humboldt nutrients right now.gonna try botanicare line next run do a comparison.
My feeds pH at 6.3 without adjustment. Jungle Juice and city tap water. Pro Mix is pretty easy. I think he'll have a good time of it.

I enjoy it alot.done 5 runs with it and so far it beens forgiving as hell with me.tap water my self.i do use recharge once a week.
Also feed the mycchorizae with molasses. They need to eat. I recharge my grow just before flower with Mykos. That really helps create roots. Tons of fine roots.

Im wrapping up my first grow and I used promix hp with mychroriza. I added about 20 percent perlite to my mix and it drains well and a five gallon smart pot will only need watering every three days . I used GH Flora series with calmag plus and unsulphered molasses. It's a great medium and you can correct most nutrient issues quickly due to it's quick drainage. I like it alot and will continue to use it.

Just remember to get a good runoff every time you water. Don't let it dry out to much, plant won't like it and the peat turns hydrophobic.

I like to add perlite to the bx to air it up a bit. Use a soil surfactant if the peat dries out to much, I like yucca extract. Don't even have to ph as long as you don't have a ton of carbonate in your water, the lime will do the work for you.

Great place to start learning is the promix website, read all that and you'll be growing healthy plants in no time.

For my next run I was thinking of mixing some Alaskan humus and more perlite to promix. Anybody try adding humus or other organic matter?

For each 3.8 cu. ft bale, add 2-2.5 cups of dolomitic lime and 1/2 cu. ft. of pertlite. You don't really need the vermiculite.

6.2 pH to 6.3 pH is the correct ph zone of all waterings, with ferts or not.

I use Botanicare Pure Blend Pro veg and flower. Look at adding G.H. Floralicious too. Only other thing may be to add an enzyme, to help keep the roots healthy i.e. Z7 or Cannazyme or one of those.

Add enough perlite to the mix and it will never pack down. I like to go around the plants every week or so and stir up the top layer which will help it from packing. In four gallon pots, I water every 2-3 days depending on the size of the plants.

Lastly, especially when r.o. water is used- Cal/Mag will be necessary thru most of flowering.

Yes I did. To make it go farther . Bought a bag of organic compost. Filled with a ton of wood nubs showing it had been tumbled well. Screened those out and mixed it with the peat mix. Added more perlite. No vermiculite because it holds water and that's what the peat is for. A little lime to get the starting pH up a bit but you don't have to!. If using 3 part nutes add cal mag and account for the nitrogen in it. The stuff grew killer bud.

Add Mykos in also if possible. If not a soak with it later.
