What to do? Small grow area

alright, thanks a TON for all the advice..I'll probably switch to flowering right now pretty much, maybe try LST next time. When flowering is it better to go completely dark for a day like some people say? or just go straight to 12/12?....If you want I can put up some updates every couple days. Probably gonna document it anyway as its my first plant

and i have my lights an angle at the top....well one is kinda completely on the side, but on the top...and the other is more directly on top of it and i rotate the pot every now and than.....whenever growth seems uneven or i feel like it

thanks for the rep and good luck i do the 24 hour dark, not sure it helps but doesn't seem to hurt glad to watch your results, the space size you're using is close to mine, which is what tweaked my interest sounds like your lighting setup is flexible, so you may be able to deal with a plant bigger than 2 feet there is super cropping if things get too large, which i haven't done, think of it as an ace in the hole

No problem man. I'm just gonna let it run its cycle for today but extend its dark period from 3 hours to 24 than do 12/12....My lighting system is flexible yet heavily constricted at the same time....one light is being held with one of those things you clip to your headboard to read lol...the other is for lighting your music for your piano...So there flexible as long as i prop them up with a bunch of movies/book

One last question...i think...you said it'll grow an inch verticle everyday in flower...how many days do you think i should flower and does that drop off once it starts getting bigger?...i don't wanna put myt

whoops.....i dont wanna put pictures of my growbox on here..kinda embarrassing at how ghetto it is lol...As i said just getting things around the house to do it, putting no money into it and using the least amount of electricity...as i dont pay the bill and could be suspicious :P

that's the worst case, the warmer the grow area the more stretch
but after 4-6 weeks of flower it stops, so you will hit a point where you can just sit back and watch the buds swell
i'm totally ghetto, kind of a philosophy, what's the point in spending dollars if you can do it cheap?

Exactly...if i wanna spend money on weed ill just go buy weed :P....so you suggest having a lower temperature? how long do you think from start of flower to harvest of such a small plant

8 weeks minimum, and that's very unlikely, 10 weeks is probably more realistic
12 weeks would likely be the worst case

if its female that is :P...either way is good cause it helps me learn to grow, but obviously gettin some good buds at the end would be great...Thanks again, ill post a couple pictures in a couple days..after a couple days of the new cycle

temps, of course, can be tricky
mostly it means the greater your ventilation/air flow the lower the grow temps
temps in the 70's are ideal, less stretch, happier plant, 80's is fine for the most part
90's aren't necessarily deadly, but it's the danger zone, some plants can deal with it, some can't

ah okay...pretty sure my temperatures are fine and mid to high 70's....got a fan in a small enclosed space with plenty of ventilation and a bonus is that i hang out in the room its in so i keep the window open for periods of time to get baked. ....pretty damn possitive no smoke goes near the plant and theres always a good breeze blowin through the window

Upon further review lol.....put a thermometer in there...i was just guessing before..turns out its 90+ and probably has been all along...After giving it a really good watering (when you saw the pictures) its started to perk up n look really good. try to get it down around 75 or not fix what aint broke? do 90+ plants stretch alot?

it looks good for 90, measuring the temp can have a few wrinkles
is 90 up high? or that the temp down where the plant top is?

same height as the base of the plant...got the temp. down to just under 80 n hopefully keep it there. I know the its fine for the plant either way, just dont want it to get too tall...but from what i've heard thats more how close the lights are? pretty much right on em, as long as theres no heat stress

cfl's right up tight, closer the better
you will find, however, it will be difficult to not get some burns on the leaves from the cfl's
plant starts to grow quicker and will often bump into some leaf tips
small burns aren't the end of the world, annoying, but worth it to keep the plant from stretching too much

hopefully i can keep a close enough eye to not let that, but we'll see....stopped makin the mistake of misting during the light period hearing the drops of water magnifies the light n can burn it.

no offence to Mr. Ganja, but it'd be nice to get input from others aswell. Anyway..since im going into flowering now do i need to change the lighting? im pretty sure there all warmwhite/coolwhite spectrum 2 23watts and 1 13 watt

nother question....just figured out that right now when i switch to flowering it will be 8 pm to 8 am...deffinetly a shitty time for the light cycle...would it be bad to go 36 hours dark instead of 24, so that i can get it where i want

i'll pop in, it can take some time to get helpers on a thread, but be patient, eventually some will jump in
extended dark doesn't seem to hurt, cannabis is a tough plant, but 12 hours of dark would be better(IMHO) than 36, but shouldn't be a plant killer
