What to do to get PH back up if you used down already.Sounds simple.....Right?

Now adding water or dumping the rez are not options. I have looked with no other answers. Adding ph down to nutes with ph up in them already can knock out important parts of the food chain. So what then. I don't have the answer. I want to know if there is anything natural to add if there is chemical down in the rez. :wall: Thanks

If you have a 5 gallon jug of water and a 3 gallon jug how do you make 4 gallons?

:)

Seriously though, if you want to maintane the same ppm you will have to remove some of the water from reservoir. If your ppm is low enough it won't matter if you add a small amount of regular pH up. I usually keep some empty containers for when I goof and ph Down too far and store the extra.

Why everyone make you fell like an asshole for asking. I know that i can dump and or ad water. my question is there a organic compound that can mix with chemical ph down without making the rez get funky. i usally ad water. i had the ph fine. 80 gal and then i added more canna and it dropped my ph. i have alway heard that the ph up and down or polar oposites and not to mix. i don't want to waste a whole rez. i needed to ad the extra canna. if i dump and ad more nutes and water i'll still be in the same boat. i had no luck and i like to post these questions whsen i have them that seem to be so easy to answer but there not. i did look first so i post it here so if i get a answer good for me. also if you need the same answer and you google you find this. as far as food chain i just read that the mixing of the two starts to kill important parts of the nutrient food chain and the more you mix the more it destroys. now i believed that food chain ment cal, mag and so on. if i miss stated or mis understood what i read then please let me know. just trying to get help and at the same time help others when they search. that being said if one does reply as the man did above then thank you. i hope this helps.

You could use liquid silicon.

I use GROWTH TECHNOLOGY LIQUID SILICON.

Its potassium Silicat and increases pH while adding silicon to help strengthen cell walls and help with heat stresses and pest attacks.

No known issues with pH down as far as I know.

It does increase EC marginally. If my EC is 1.2 with a pH of 5.2 and I add enough to raise me to 5.8 my EC increases 0.1 to 1.3.

Something else to consider is that a pH of below 4 in a nute mix can cause some elements to precipitate out of the solution.

Quote from the link supplied.

For plant roots to be able to absorb nutrients, the nutrients must be dissolved in solution. The process of precipitation (the reverse of dissolving) results in the formation of solids in the nutrient solution, making nutrients unavailable to plants. Not all precipitation settles to the bottom of the tanks, some precipitates occur as very fine suspension invisible to the naked eye.
