Actually there is scientific evidence/studies that shows that pollinated buds have lower THC and cannabinoid levels:

"As Cannabis is a dioecious plant, one main factor is fertilization after successful pollination. Fertilized flowers are considerably less potent, likely due to changes in the contents of phytocannabinoids and terpenoids; therefore, this study examined the effect of fertilization on metabolite composition by crossbreeding (-)-Δ9-trans-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)- or cannabidiol (CBD)-rich female plants with different male plants: THC-rich, CBD-rich, or the original female plant induced to develop male pollen sacs. I guess this is a case where the science does not always match reality.
I can only speak from personal experience, none of the five strains I previously ran had a change in taste or potency from being seeded.

Thank you! Great study, my anecdotal experience differs too. Somewhere between lab analysis and user experience we have a deviation or possibly we are not aware of what all creates the high many of us enjoy. I'm really looking forward to more research.

I also hope we don't make the same mistakes we made Opium -> Morphine possibly the whole plant experience has enhanced value. Anyway there's a lot of new science to look forward to.
