What to do with the lights?

Hi all,

Just wondering what is better to do?

im starting my first grow next week sometime and trying to stay within my budget.

can i use a 400w cool bulb mh for the clones, mother and for veg? i heard the fluorescent lights are good for the cloning and mother.. true? just trying to say within range of budget. but i will get what ever is best for the plants. i dont want to keep upgrading and spend more money ya know..


I have a 9x3 closet plus another section in the closet thats about 2ft wide 3 feet deep and 6ft high that was going to be used for the cloning area and veg area.

I got my hands on some alaskan ice seeds and i want the best for my babies!

Can anyone help me out?

As for the lights, I would use the 400w MH for the moms. Use CFLs on the clones. How are you cloning? Im getting ready to build a bubble cloner.

i think im going to get the cloning kit from htg ( the cheap one ) for now and if doesnt work out to good then ill prob get the better one. I watched all 12 video of Mr. Green on you tube and it seemed easy enough. Well see lol..

I was reading your post earlier and saw the plants.. LOOKING GOOD!!

Once i have something started ill post some pics. otherwise for now all youll see is a closet with clothes in it lol..

Im thinking about using a drip system for the veg room and a ebb system for the flowering room. but i have been looking around and saw some other ones that look good also. any ideas on whats the best one to use?
