I've got one last plant in the flowering room that's finishing shortly, so it's time to pick out the next batch of plants. I've got 8 different strains to choose from, but only room for 4 in the room. Which 4 make the cut? Oh, the agony of deciding! My last 4 were Caramelo, Trainwreck (Homegrown), G13 Pineapple Express and Eva Seeds Missing. Missing is at 82 days, which is totally absurd for a plant that's advertised as an 8-9 week strain.

But anyway, here are the choices:

Paradise Seeds Delahaze
Dinafem Super Silver
Connoisseur SSSDH
Reserva Privada OG 18
DNA Chocolope
Cali Connection Buddha Tahoe
TH Seeds MKage
Dinafem Cheese

Decisions decisions...I'd like to end up with a variety of different highs, from extreme couch lock before bed smoke to energetic smoke to just strong as fuck smoke, to more of a mellow roll a fat joint smoke. I'd like at least 2 of the 4 to be big yielders, the other 2 I'll go for straight dank quality of quantity. Like to keep flowering 10 weeks or under, but 11-12 is doable if it's a killer strain.

I'll be growing in soil, 3.4G airpots, under a 600w HPS. It's air cooled, and you can rest your hand on the glass of the reflector no problem. I've got about 5-6' of clearance under the light.

By the way, thanks for all of the helpful people on this site. I have learned so much about botany in general from these forums.

Looking forward to your input!

I vote SSSDH since I have Delahaze going now and looks like you ordered 4/20 same as me and have the same freebies. I am certainly interested in the SSSDH but its going to be awhile before I can get around to them.
I would also recommend Buddha Tahoe. I have that almost 7 weeks in flower now and I am certain its going to be fire!

I must admit, that shit was high on the list. I've seen some MASSIVE buds come off that plant, and the quality is supposed to be primo as well. You grown it?
I haven't grown it but there was a thread on it not too long ago dude got it as a freebie and it was the best one of his order nice looking buds too.

Haha, funny how we're both working off the same freebies. I definitely hit that 420 special - cherry picked a bunch of different strains. Buddha Tahoe you say? Can you tell me a little more about her...how many weeks will it go, how was the stretch, how'd she like nuts?

I really want to try the SSSDH, but they're regular seeds, and I'm kind of screwed if both are male, since I'll have an empty spot in the flowering room. If both were female, I could squeeze a 5th plant in if absolutely necessary, but it's a risk on this one. Possibly one worth taking.

How far in are you with the Delahaze?

Anyone know if the Dinafem Cheese is quality?

Wheezer's always talking about how great Connoisseur genetics are, I would def try those SSSDH
ha, see post I just wrote re: SSSDH. It's high on the list, but if I get jacked with 2 males I'm going to be short a plant in the flowering room. Hmmm...may have to roll the dice. So hard to decide, I want to grow them all!

I have about 300 seeds in a crisper, about 40 different strains each in their own smaller bags, I reach in and grab 4-6 baggies like i'm drawing for names at a secret santa drawing. If it's all fire what does it matter?

That's fucking awesome, and I commend you. Half the fun is not knowing what the hell is about to sprout out of the ground. However, I also like the idea of mixing and matching a few different highs and yielders...I think about it like wine - sure you may have a bunch of fire wine from amazing vintages, but sometimes you're in the mood for a cabernet and sometimes you're in the mood for a pinot noir.

Just smoked some chocolope....it was OK, not great........,.but it was a unique experience for me when he opened the jar and a strong smell of cocoa hit my nose. Very interesting from that respect.
Prolly can't go wrong with the OG18 IMO.
Good luck!

anything with haze in it's name is something i'd like to try at least once.

i'm the one that voted for the super silver thinking it might be a super silver haze knockoff as well as the SSSDH.

i really want to try chocolope myself to see just how much like a chocolate thai it is or even how nice it tastes as i've liked all three high quality DNA strains i've tried so far for their superior attention to detail and distinctive personalities with sweet haze being my #2 favorite, but sour cream and lemon skunk are both awesome too for what each is intended to do.

Interesting...what made it just OK? I'm intrigued by the chocolate thai heritage of this strain, but no reason to grow just an "OK" strain when I've got 7 others to choose from. Thanks for the heads up.

There seems to be consensus re: the Delahaze making the cut.

If you guys were going to choose between the OG 18 and the Buddha Tahoe, which of the two would you pick?

That Lemon Skunk is definitely going to be in my next order of seeds.

So you think Super Silver is a knock off of SSSDH? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Not a rhetorical question, btw. I don't have any experience growing haze...well, actually let me rephrase that...I didn't think I was going to have any experience growing a Haze strain until this Eva Seeds Missing went into flower. I must have gotten some seriously recessive Haze genes in this seed. Missing is a cross between Blueberry and Eva's High Level. High Level is a Skunk/Haze cross. This plant I'm growing is definitely showing some serious Haze genetics...I definitely like what I'm seeing, although I'm at 12 weeks with probably another 2+ weeks to go. I could do without the 14 week flowering time, but it looks like it's going to yield a bushel. Thanks for your input!

Funny, my OG 18 was blah and my Tahoe (at this point) looks like straight up fire. I might can say it might be the most crystal covered strain I have grown yet. It is much more crystal covered than the OG 18 (I definitely got the shit pheno that smells like dirty laundry).
Gonna try the 18 again at some point just to see if I get the right pheno from it, but its far down the to-do list.

I voted with a pair of what I have cooking now: Delahaze & MKage. These are still vegging along, a little small yet in week 4.

OG18 and Buddah Tahoe, plus a half-dozen Medicine Man babies all got eaten :( RIP little buddies :( I was looking forward to you.

I grew out a Dinafem Cheese as part of my first indoor grow, and she came out pretty delicious. I have maybe 10 grams left out of maybe 60? from that one plant. If I had another bean handy, she would be rocking along in week 4 with the above.
