What to use to cool 3 600 watt hps cooltube hoods????

I am trying to decide how to vent my grow room (5x10x8). I was initially going to run a 6 inch inline fan (425 cfm) to pull air through my carbon filter and 3 600 watt cooltube hoods. I recently found out this is probably not enough power for that. So I was thinking of using a 6 inch inline duct fanhttp://http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=6+in+duct+fan&hl=en&cid=10630462699867824541&ei=Eg94Tr2rApLaigTyxqmhAQ&ved=0CAcQ8wIwAA#p and have that cool the lights and have it exhausted through the attic and have the 6 in inline fan for the carbon filter also exhausted through the attic. My question is will the 6 inch inline duct fan be enough to cool the lights by itself??? Any info would help. Thanks!

OK so you are going to want 2 fans.

1 fan with filter to exhaust and clean your air.
6" 450CFM inline fan (not duct boosters) with slightly higher CFM filter 500CFM etc.

Then you are gonna want to have a cool air intake to attach to your sealed lighting system. Sealed as in ZERO grow room air passes through it. All aircooled hoods would need to be inline (path of least resistance ) and you would need
8" +500CFM inline fan (not duct boosters).

I exhaust into my attic and due to added moisture and heat that would inevitably create problems such as black mould i added extra attic ventilation to allow my attic to" breathe" and exchange air by creating cross ventilation.

This is something to bare in mind when exhausting into attic areas.

Thanks Jon, So I would need an 8" fan just to cool my lights? I was expecting using something much smaller, and quieter And I'm going to vent them through the attic and out of the side of the house, There are some vents. Also, how can I tell if the lights, cool tube hoods, are completely sealed?

Once your cooltubes are setup , turn everything on and blow cigarette smoke at each part to see if it gets sucked in anywhere.

Cooltubes DO leak due to their design. I used aircooled hoods rather than cooltubes .

Everyone makes the same error , thinking its going to take a small fan to run HID's.

Hello my friends , I recently set up my room with 2 cooled 600 watt hps and I need to cool them with an inline fan the duct fan is all I have for now and I don't want to keep purchasing $200 inline blowers till I find the right one. So what I'm needing to know from some experience is what brand do I need? Noise will be the biggest problem as my grow is a closet next to my bedroom and the space is about 5x5x6.5... I would like to buy a fan that is a little more powerful than what I need as the summers here can be pretty brutal. Thanks for the help.
