What type of nutes should I use w/my CFL grow in soil?

I have actually used (introduced) MG 8-7-6- liquid house plant food, to my babies when the 2nd set of leaves started showing(only on 3 out of 6). I say introduce cuz I only put about 6-7 drops in a half gallon of 3 day old tap water. I have since stopped the nutes, cuz I was imformed that the feeder leaves were enuff for it until they started to wilt & then start nutes or about 4 weeks, which ever comes first.
I've heard good & bad things about the MG I'm using. Keep in mind I'm a n00b and don't quite have it all together here.

What does your soil blend contain?, is it pre-fertilized?.

Sorry, I don't remember from the other thread, you're in MG soil?

Ya, it's supposed to be "organic" with no nutes what so ever, I'd rather eff it up myself..lol..just sayin'

miracle gro is strong stuff, don't nute till your plants tell you to i.e. lighter green leaves, reddening fan leaf stems.

IDK man, I'm in the Moisture Control, which I know has stuff in it.
My suggestion would be to PM Jpeg666 and ask him, I know he's an MG user also, and I think he actually has a side by side with organic and another type going right now.

I recommend botanicare. This three pack off of amazon.com is has worked beautifully for me so far. Its organic, there 8oz bottles, they go a very long way, its inexpensive and a good introduction into using nutrients.

Buy a General Hydroponics PH UP/DOWN kit as well and learn to use it.

Also, i use FFoF, so the soil is amended and very well. Therefore I used Botanicares basic feeding schedule for soil and started it just how they direct, but only started feeding during the bloom phase. So, week 4 I did 1/4 strength nutes of Bloom and Liquid Karma. Never used veg nutes. (will apply if needed.

Week 5(2nd week of flowering) i did 1/2 strength for both. So far i've only used half the dose.

Im telling you, the stuff is cheap, the bottles will go very very far. Its the best purchase i've made since I started growing.

My soil has no nutrients in it, but, I have noticed the 3 I gave an "introduction" of nutes are doing fantastic, but, the ones I didn't nute....well I'll post some pics here soon and you decide...

You'd be surprised, I'll bet ya a chocolate chip cookie, those 'without' will be the same size as your 'with' when they get to 12 days.
When mine was small, she'd grow so fast, I had to either keep my CFL's more than an inch away, or check every 10 hours or so.
I learned that from a couple burned tips that grew up into the bulbs.

Ouch, just finished reading, ya I'm way too infatuated to let that happen...the whole experience is making me a kid agian..I check em when I wake up, and when I come home for lunch, and before I go to bed...it's a good feelin to know I'm growin what I just toked up!!!...NICE!!!

Don't feel bad, I peep mine every couple hours when the lights are on, and can't wait to turn 'em on when it's lights out time.
I love looking at her when I turn the lights on, and can see a difference from when I shut them off that morning.

I was reading and looking at ph testers online, and all the ones I looked at said that "organic material such as small wood chips or plant material" would give a false reading...well I guess that "leaves me out", no pun intended...ok all pun intended, but I guess I'm gona go with the lil test kits "old school" lol...any thoughts, has anyone found a tester that works for organic material???

i wouldn't add anything till they get up to 6-8 inches. soil with no "added" nutes still has nutes. it's not baron soil.
