What was your most painful "Self-induced" grow mistake?

Everybodys had some kinda screw up in their grow. You know the kind I mean. The kind where you, the grower, did something that, in hindsight, you sayI can't believe I did that. Something that adversly affected your plants or entire grow. Hell, just the ones I have done in y short grow history amaze me and the numerous things that one incurrs, many which were self induced or lack of doing something that would've prevented a problem.

Easy, I sprayed my first plant with water during flowering. Ended up with bud rot on the main cola.

I trimmed the big leaves because I "thought" they were blocking light. Or so I was told. Buds quit growing.

Slowly watched my plants burn to a crisp....

I bombed my room with fans off and forgot to turn them on. Realized after 4 hours temp were 120. Still feel like shooting myself for being such a retard.

lol did the same thing. that and almost burning my plants up with my light on to high. other than that everything's been pretty good

When I grew my first plants I didn't know what nute burn was. I thought I wasn't feeding them enough and continued to feed them more. I ended up killing all my plants and didn't even know why.

LMAO Nice catch.., Okay, Deal.., Let me preface this by saying I think I got the winner of the overmedicated award, although a few come close.., particularly liked the spray during flowering, th,e insect bomber and the double feeding em (btw.., flush, flush, flush..,).

My biggie, which should make you feel a little better platinum, was that when i was on about my third grow, soil of course, I really wanted to do things right and was tking steps to do it, spending cash like i was made of it, Lights, top shelf Nutes, the works...., Study Study, study... researched the hell outta things. Somehow I got it in my head that if I added enzymes to eat dead roots, which is what they say, and add benificial organisims as well as food for them, that somehow I should be able to extend the life of my soil and by cutting it with 50% new mix after every harvest well i should just about be able to reduce cost there ultimately and be way ahead in the long run. didnt even consider other factors such as nute stacking from residuals left from the prior crop. Well long and short of it, It wasnt until about 5 grows later and my yields had dropped 60% that I caught a breath of fresh air enough for me to slap myself in the head and hollar "DUMBASS!"

tried the 72 hours of darkness before harvest myth, ended up with mildew covered plants.

Being wrong always hurts...but not as much as my ignorance..

I've thought about my most stupid posts...funniest was my wondering why the water level keeps going down in my newbie DWC, but my ec/ppm keeps going up?

Deciding to grow large scale with alcoholic braggart friend...things went fine for 2 years. Except him being broke constantly borrowing money when we were pulling in 45-50 k every 2.5 months after overhead....

Then he decided to show a bar buddy our grow one drunken night. Few months later he must of told the guy our stuff was hanging because we got robbed for about 55k in herb. He still owes ke thousands but he is in prison busted in S Dakota with lbs in his truck.

Growing outdoors too close to the swamp. You wanna see bud rot that's makes you gag!!

1 n half week old growing experience protip: 7.0 water will not make soil out of the box 7.0 pH, was at 9.0 soil till I realized why taproots were disintegrating overnight, lol.
