Here is my tent with my my 16 day old shorties. Sorry about the quality of the pics...crappy blackberry phone.
I currently am using 2 42W CFL's and 2 23W CFL's hooked up to a power strip with 2 socket adapters and 2 Y splits for a total of 4 bulbs burning. $30 total investment in that cfl setup which beats the hell out of those $200 overpriced crappy chinese made t5's the 'dro shops are pushing. The 1st pic is a total view of my tent and all the gear inside...600w MH will be kicking on next week when my C.A.P. Hi-Temp shut-off switch arrives (not a fan of fires while I'm away from my grow should my inline fan fail). I've got a nice little fan I got on clearance blowing over the bulbs and the plants.

2nd Pic shows my cfl setup that's hanging from my HID hood with some janky packing string....I wish I had gotten the hi-lo hangers instead of these stupid chains. 1 more thing to add to the shopping list.

3rd Pic....here's the babies. @ 50% nutes using 1 veg nute and that is it. Plan to just use a simple A & B type of nute regimen. I'm leaving all the additives out of this grow so I can learn the basics and begin to understand what the plant needs and when. My last grow years ago I was using different nutes and it was just a f'ing mess. Was planning to do a water, feed, water, feed....but I think I'm going to play it safe and just do a feed, water, water, feed. If my girls start talking to me wanting some more, I'll up it then. Nute burn seems like a much more difficult problem to correct than under nuting.

3rd Pic....really terrible lighting. damn flash didn't go off and won't work. Anyhow, you can see a little better pic of the cfl setup and my babies sitting in a janky ass baking pan

I might have to stick a humidifier in there b/c my inline fan has to run 24/7 to keep a constant negative pressure so that no stink escapes the passive intake holes. How big of a problem can low humidity really cause me?
You can see I have no carbon filter hooked up yet....that's on the list to add in about 3 weeks. Using a phat filter rated for 200CFM. Something like $80 shipped. Local shop wants $110 or some shit like that.
Babies will be movin' on up to 5 gallon pots in 1-2 weeks. Considering some foxfarm ocean forest mixed with a good dose of perlite for drainage...really excited. After every watering now, the girls really have a major growth spurt the same day....very cool to watch. I'm trying to do the right thing and let that dirt get nice and dry so they're good and thirsty when I water 'em. They seem to be responding very well. I've got 2-3 really nice front runners that have excellent growth, tight node structure, and I hope to god these 3 don't grow nuts
