What will cause your cannabis plants stalk to split I do not believe it's from the LST but I'm not 100%

Try tying down a few hours after you feed/water,.. this will soften the crotch of the branch up a bit as opposed to tying down right before, or the day before they need feeding/watering. Anytime you LST or larf/lollipop, always do it a few hours after a feeding. This gives them time to hydrate and recover from the stress of defoliation, LST, larfing, etc.

I'd say lst caused it.

When I lst i twist the stem back and forth to soften it, i do this over around 3" of stem to make it pliable/workable.

Painters or masking tape works well to heal up these types of wounds. Should be ok, but only you know for sure.

Fast growth causes this, you may be able to help stop it by adding silica or Rhino Skin from advanced nutrients. This will make your branches stronger from the inside out.

Tapes fine it would suprise you the abuse they can take and still turn out good ive seen half a plant taped back on reattach itself with a friends critical mass grow many years ago most people would have thought this plant was fucked it ended up yielding the most overall funnily enough as well

Never bend a branch where it connects to the main stock, instead, pinch the middle of the branch and then start bending it up and down little by little without breaking it, then tie it down once it's in position. If you supercrop without tying the branch down it'll be back to the original position in a day or two. Branches break easily at the joint.

LST and the weight of the buds, plus wind will cause this.
Feed the plants organic silicone.
It will stregthen stalks to flex more before breaking, as well as hold heavier buds.
It also increases the protective waxy outer layer on leaves.

Remove the tie downs from the branch that split until your tape job heals. Support in the opposite direction will help.

It was you. And @Rurumo is right. It should be fine. I'm dealing with a plant split at every branch node now. Love my dog. 6 weeks flower. Tied it up with garden tape a week ago. Put in a cage today and started cutting tape. They are tougher than you. LOL. Just grow on solid foundation.

Nope it’s gonna split no matter when you water I’ve done it all and still split, ironically yesterday I transplanted two plants, then got up this morning to hst them one split so easy I couldn’t find the honey so put peroxide on the split I’m on my way home to see the outcome
