What would you do? Flush question.

I usually flush the plant for atleast 14 days with pure tap water.
My FloraKleen bottle directions says "Add 3 mL of FloraKleen per liter water during the last 2 days before harvest to increase the sugar level in your crop."

Should I do that before I flush the plant with pure water or after 14 days of flushing with pure water?

DWC grow.

Best regards.

I dont flush at all, not even plain water for the last few days.
Starving your plant doesnt make any sense and from my experience theres no difference to tell between flushed and unflushed bud except that unflushed buds are heavier due to not being starved of nutrients.

By the way i wouldnt want to smoke 'sugar in my crop'

I've always flushed in flower but not the stop feeding kind of flush. Just a flush of the soil once followed by a feed. It's proven that starving the plant prior to harvest does nothing at all. Actually, in a blind test, nearly EVERYONE said the unflushed bud was better.

You don't flush a DWC grow. You run proper EC/ppm values. I maybe go down to 450ppm in the last week of flowering. The vegetables you eat never get flushed.

Flushing is old knowledge and dates back to when dutch growers where using as much nutrients as possible because that's what they thought was the right thing to do at the time. I'm talking 80' early 90's.

Then what are all those funky plasticy tastes in dispensary bud?

And why does it much organic bud taste "earthy" instead of sweet and sour?

99 percent of people alive today apparently have different DNA than they did in the 80s because the recommended nute dosages haven't changed a bit..

Store bought tomatoes make me vomit.. Out of season (indoor) bell peppers are terribly chemically. Wonder why?

Probably because people don't understand plant nutrition and still overfeed their plants. Im happy to say I don't by my stuff from dispensaries. Often to weak and rushed products.

I don't know how things taste in America. I live in Europe. We have pretty though regulations over here.

Here’s a thought on flushing. Picture your wife , girlfriend, or yourself pregnant. For 9 months, nothing but proper, nutritious food, and healthy living. Then, 2 weeks before the due date, u starve yourself. It doesn’t make any sense! Cure your bud properly, and it will taste delicious!

I usually flush for 2 days during the 48hrs of darkness, and use really cold water too...then when most people harvest i then shock her further with 5hrs of just 660nm, followed by 2hrs of just UV A and B...then harvest... Great results !! - ST/ZT/FS :leaf:
