I am in a great possition at the moment and I would like to know what would you use? at my job the use 70w hps lights for tempery lighting. they are every where and I can get as many as I want with replacement bulbs. my question is I have quite a few seedlings started and I am begging to veg white widow, hymalayian gold, and super silver haze. so would you use them or am I better off veggin them under flouredants (4) 40w tubes. I really dont want to use both I would like to do a test next time around but for now what would you use?

Flouresent is fine for the first few weeks.. I just don't know if a 70 watt hps is enough to do much once you get later in the veg stage and into flowering.. You could use like 5 of them, but if that's the case, you'd be better off getting a 250 or 400 watt hps..

I'm no expert, but i'd say a 70 watt hps is enough to grow like 1 plant.. maybe 2..

this is just for veg I have 400w and 4 150w hps lights for flowering. use the 150's for dark spots and sometimes for spot lighting when a plant needs the extra to catch up

Let the plants tell you. I prefer having as much light on my plants to possibly keep node length minimal. Any light really works for veg for the most part. Is it worth the electricity?

I have my mothers and clones under two 150w hps flood lights and they are staying nice and short just the way I like it.

so your answer is to use what ever light I want? whitch one do you think would give me the best growth the fastest? I think a test is in order. maybe I should set myself up with some under each and see for myself

and two 150's I think should keep them nice and pretty. my only question to you is keeping the mothers tight wouldn't you want them to have some lenght for taking clones?

300 watts over about 9 feet^2 is enough for me to keep my plants dense enough as I like. I keep my clones dense as well... I like my plants small and dense and have no problem rooting cuttings that are only 3 inches from cut to growth tip. Dense is better all around imo.

You didn't even ask any questions or give and problems, maybe you should work on that. Then we can work on your problem. Also don't thread jack. :)
