What would you want to see in an "EPIC BATTLE" movie sequence?

I plan on painting something crazy in the near future, what would you expect to see in an EPIC BATTLE scene?

Huge alien bugs, rockets, lasers, what? Describe the coolest scene you can think of, I'll consider adding it in!
 
but what's the theme?

are we talking strictly sci-fi here, or can there be other ideas?

western, horror, action, war, apocalyptic, police/crime.
 
cola snorting wizards casting spells on dumb bitches who then strip and start tongue fucking each other to death.
 
well when i hear "EPIC BATTLE" the first thing that pops into my head is 300 or any kind of movie with two massive groups running at each other ready to fight.

for western obviously the epic battle would be the showdown.
for police crime it would be the bad guy(s) vs the cop(s), or the good guy(s) vs the bad guy(s), or the bad guy(s) vs the bad guy(s).
for war i guess it would be the final battle (okinawa? could be wrong) for wwii, unless you want to do a bombing picture.. but that's a bit tasteless.


but when you go to paint this, do you plan on putting in a bunch of random shit? like an epic battle collage?
i wouldn't do that, that kind of shit has been done too many times. and every time i see something like that, even if the painting looks great, it has no feeling, makes it seem cheap.

Nah, I plan on doing something original. I had that epic scene from Starship Troopers in mind initially, when alll those millions of bugs were swarming the compound with like 20 troopers inside, also saw this clip of a mashup of epic battle scenes, inspired the shit out of me. There are a ton of great examples out there, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, Troy.. But I'm thinking of a collaboration of multiple genre's, no restrictions. The story doesn't have to make sense, I'm just interested in what you think would be cool to see, visually. Wookies with lava monsters, Boba Fett with the Swamp Thing, Ninja Turtles with Power Rangers, anyfuckinthing, lmao. What is the coolest image you can imagine ivolving an EPIC MOFUCKIN BATTLE SCENE!?
 
Most epic ever? I would say make a humans vs creatures battle where on one side you see humans as spartans, ninjas, romans, samurais, knights, soldiers, catapults, tanks...stuff like that and they all work together in the same time frame. And on the other side you see all creatures like trolls, orcs, demons, giants, dragons...all the mythologies and shit.

I'd love to see any kind of epic battle scene if it had something really calm going on right in the center of it. Like an old lady in a rocking chair working on an oil painting with a bunny in her lap, while the battle rages insanely all around them. Epic.
 
I'd like to see Beardo pulling off JohnnyGreenfingers till he melts in his hand and in the background the rest of RIU giving each other creampies and maybe a token female member paying cash money to get triple penetration while being stretched on the rack by yours truly.
