What wrong with my little sprout?

This is one of my sprouts.

This is my other sprout that is two days younger.

So why is my older sprout looking so drab compared to my younger one? Its leaves are yellowish and haven't even opened or stretched out yet. Is this normal for the first few days? Or is it just a dud plant? Could it be something I am doing? Tell me what you guys think.

Oh yeah, my setup is 4 CFLs (26 watts/1700 lumens each) and I water every day since they are in small cups.

I'm not 100% positive on this, but when seedlings first pop out they droop a little like that for the first few days until the actual seed opens up and the first few leaves come out like on your other sprout. Do you have any air flow on them yet?

Im with Mogie, you need to Ph your water.
Judging by your pics your better looking sprout has a pretty purple stem.
If your PH is off then you will have a nutrient lock out, and you will be rewarded with slow growth and purple stems.

Your PH should be between a high five and 7.0.

If that doesnt correct the problem your plant either has too much light or too much water.

Hope this helps

:peace:

Not enough perlite, in the soil it has mulch and the root is rotting same as over watering, but not, cause the soil is just holding too much moisture no matter how little water is in it add more perlite, and check your PH doubt it is the PH though lest youare using tap water and not letting it sit in sun for 24 hours to remove the chlorine.

Your baby looks fine. Do not water it anymore or fertilize it or anything too drastic. Just sing her a nice little song and open the window to get some fresh air flow.

I'd think possibly overwatering too, but what color spectrum are your lights? You mentioned wattage and lumens, but not the spectrum? You should be using 6500k for veg. Good luck to ya
