Whats going on people. I havent posted on here in a bit so I thought I'd give it a try again. I'm going to enlighten you all out there into what I got going on in my "Spaceship" lol. Thas what I call my lil enclosure that I built for my lil device. Sorry bout the quality of the photos they were taken with a Sidekick! But here's the low down...
Oh yea, did I forget to mention that all of my grows are 12/12 from start!!! I feel for space I have to work with cause I have 2 - 26 gallow rubbermaids that I built that sit on top of each other with the res sittin in it. It's actually quite spacey. But yea, it works for me for right now. Im thinking about doing a bigger rubbermaid, like a taller one so I can do multi-layers for flowering and cloning. It's in the works as we speak. So, 12/12 is the way to go for me and the female:male ratio is unremarkable lol I only say that because I've started over the last couple of months I'd say at least 10-12 different seeds and I havent gotten ONE male yet and none of my seeds are feminized so idk...People dont knock it unto you try it, I've chopped down two plants already under this method and have yeilded 4.5 ounces and that was my first grow ever, so you do the math. Im still learning, but with better techniques you can get decent yields. So, my fellow CFL'ers lets rejoice haha and HID's u guys arent too bad eithers
Sorry about the tangent, had to throw that in there though and again, here is the skinny...
Medium: DWC, 2 - (20-30 gal) pumps w/ 5 airstones in a 5 gal/res
Lighting: 3 - 42 Watt Warm White CFLs, 6 - 26 Watt Warm White CFLs,
1 - 23 Watt Cool White CFL
Ventilation: On top half of my contraption, it has a 5 in fan blowing hot air
out the top while theres also a small computer fan built onto
the side blowing air across the CFL bulbs, I'll get pics soon.
Nutrients: GH 3 - Part System, SuperThrive, H202 in/res, MG Bloom Buster

Genetics: Big Girl is Original Skunky Haze, ordered the seeds a while back.
Sativa dominant, 87.5% to be exact. She's been going since,
middle late May and looking good since I upgraded my lighting.
I tell you, if you DO CFL, please invest in 42 watters, u wont
regret it. Now, top left is White Label Double Gum thas starting
off under bottles I use as lil greenhouses, THEY WORK LOL!
Right of it is Nirvana Blue Mystic baby thas popped. Bottom left,
seed I found in some headies, figured I'd give it a go. Why not?
It's lookin good thou, popped in 3 days and hasnt looked back.
Right of it is, a clone I took off the big girl one day 3 WEEKS
INTO FLOWERING, yes you can do it and its actually better in
some cases. Plant already has enough food storage so trying to
transplant isnt as bad for it and doesnt take as long to get roots.
I cut it off and put under veg 24/0 lighting for a week under I
think close to 70 watts CFL and started seeing roots. So, Im
looking good now. I think my girl is close to around week 5 going
on 6, it's an 8-10 week strain since its sativa mostly.
Now that you people see what I have going, how many more weeks do you all think I have left? I have one of the scopes that you get from Radio Shack, I just gotta find some pecky AAA batteries lol I can kinda eye some of the trichs that are starting to get cloudy cause they're swelling up so much it's beautiful. The camera, like I said isnt doing much justice. I have a digi-cam but my charger is broke gotta get another one. The times I gave you as far as date wise to when I started the bigger plant are somewhat close, Ive had so much going on over the last couple of months and smoking that it's a lil bit of a blur haha. It happens. Im open to your opinions. And...I have another OG Skunky Haze clone in the closet with some type of Kush seed my friend gave me that he found he a bag he had. The damn thing popped in 3 days after being stuck straight into the dirt. Under 1 - 23 Watt Cool White CFL and 1 - 26 Watt Warm White CFL. Im going to veg these for 2 weeks then, I'm going 12/12 with them like the rest. They're in MG Organic Soil right now. Trying the organic with the soil, when I get a lil money Im going to start going organic with my DWC. Something else I'm doing right now in the res of the DWC is I'm only using a small amount of nutes, like 1/5 the amount cause I'm in the mist of flushing out my big girl cause I want the cleanest smoke possible. Since I do that, I counter that with the MG Bloom Buster stuff that I mix in a spray bottle with water. It gives it a slightly blue tint. It's good stuff, even though it is MG. It's not to chemical tasting and it's I give my girl 2 days of that til run off then 1 day of SuperThrive water then oneday of regular tap water that I let sit out. And for the lil ones the small amount of nutes starting off isnt too bad for it and doesnt give it nute burn...get it now? It took me a lil while to get my methods down and I got a few grows under my belt now so I'm doin okay for myself. See, I started off with DWC, no soil for me not saying I have anything against it. I just saw journals of peoples grows online with hydro and the growth rates are crazy. Soil grows are too, but it kinda balances out for me since I'm using only CFLs but since im using the hydro with the two pumps them babies be getting it once they pop the rockwool. I'd do HID if I could but space, stay in an apt and I'm using my storage. I tell no one and since I used the rubbermaids it just looks like two stackable rubbermaids if you look at it and all I'd have to do is hit one switch on the power strip, and my pumps, lights, fans everything cut off. I can break it down in a minute and move the whole unit if I need to. Its genious, I had to think it out since I do stay in an apt. I'll get more pics of the whole thing in action. It's pretty damn sweet! And quite quiet, but I want to get 2 of those Whisper pumps that look like lil 4-legged mice lol yall know what Im talkin about. In the fish aisle at Wally World. But any who, hope you like my thread. Hit me up people, I'd like to thank RIU anyway's because I got my inspiration from this site. I found it oneday back in Jan. this year and It's been on since then so big ups to everybody on here!
