Whats a fair split between partners?

Dude. If this person is a trusted and close friend, you should have no problem settling with the sacrifice of doing more work. Yeah, it should be different in the future, but at least the 50% is going to a close friend, not someone who's strictly a partner. PLUS, you'll probably smoke a shit ton together.

Idk how your friends are, but I do shit for my friends and they get me back. We don't keep score, we just remain kind and generous.
VERY TRUE, and this is the best way to tell if your bro is a real friend.

Just put the ball in his court with a loaded question.

"So, bud, what do you think would be a fair split given you supplied seeds worth $X and I'm working my ass off?"

If he says 50/50, pay him and be done with him.

Yeah it's ideal to not keep score among friends. However if something isn't reasonably equitable, for both parties, from the onset, why? And it's not too difficult to see who is getting a bargain then wonder why one would accept much more than they deserve. Don't give someone a chance to be opportunistic to begin with or any bullshit may end in resentment.

To be honest i would let it all die and tell him he should have answered his phone. don't the plants need water? If he agreed that he was going to drive you to the plants and hes not answering for days hes not fulfilling the agreement so why should you.. tell him he can have all of it. HE can take it over. go start somewere else its still early.

ive been through this with a few friends...doesnt work out with most of em. one time they all ended up getting ripped out by an individual. then fist fight...and on and on... just not worth it in my opinion.

I've grown with one ofmy friends for sixyears straight. It takes patience.

My advice is don't brood negatively behind urfriends bck. If you think he should pull more weight, tell him.

You came off a little like a Jones there at first there dude remember no seeds no grow.

Be open, honest, patient. Between friends you should always be upfront.

It's like when you loan money toa friend, you should of just gave it tothem for agift, instead of getting hurt later on, bugging your friend and possibly losing them.

you're right, I agree. But he said it was a close and trusted friend. I assumed that meant he's already proven himself as a friend. But you should be able to talk to him about it with him responding diplomatically--if he's a real friend, ofc. Wow fuck doing this on mobile

Start another grow spot on your own. Take care of both spots the best you can. Growing weed isn't that hard, and its not even June yet, why is it soooo much work? Once they're planted, it should only be a couple hours of work/week tops. Just wait until he makes you trim it all, then you're really going to be upset with half.

Also selling it is a job in itself. You really made a bad deal if you agreed to sell it all and give him half the money. He should get half the money at a bulk rate. If you guys get a pound, he should get $ for half of what a pound is worth. Not the amount after the pound is sold for, after breaking up into smaller amounts, and making more than you would by selling a full pound. If you really have to split all money made, you should just sell it all at once, in bulk.

I partnered once on an indoor grow using his attic and my stuff. I supplied the work and equipment and he supplied the attic and the power. It was 50/50. The plants were about 2 weeks from harvest when he freaked, got all paranoid and made me harvest. It was smokeable but a lot less potent and less in volume than it could have been. After that, no partners, never!

ok the way I see it you are doing extra in the area of the "final product" drying curing selling etc.so if your upset about the extra you do tell him you will keep doing it and its still 50/50 but he can take his wet half and you dry/sell your own half each.fair call it hink but I really see this ending badly.whats stopping him taking the lot when its ready the day before you plan on going out with him and stumbling across a freshly ripped of lot?get what im saying?this is gonna end up bad I never have seen a gd ending in these situations ...hopefully im wrong

Lets say a partner gives you some seeds. You grow them from start on your own with all your own resources until they are ready to put outside.

You do the majority of the heavy lifting and dragging of supplies/soil to your spot, with your partner only helping. Your partner drives you out to check on them, but isn't really needed with any work being done on the plants due to inexperience.

You do the drying, curing, and sell the final product.

The partner has basically only supplied the seeds, rides, oversight (that wasn't entirely needed), and money for pots and soil outdoors. While you have grown them start to finish and done basically all of the work. They still see this as a 50/50 partnership.

What is a fair agreement?
One you both agreed to before you started.

I just needed seeds and an extra bit of help if need be. Only now i realise i really don't need help and i will be doing everything. I literally could do this all by myself no problem and basically am anyways. But when all is said and done i will have to give half of everything to him.
You mean you don't need him anymore now that he has fulfilled his side of the agreement? Is your word worth nothing?

bitch only provided 80$ worth of seeds. Not barely worth 10/20%, let alone pounds. Op is damn silly to strike that deal. realists understand that life is renegotiated every day. ever bought a house and the inspection has bad news? the f'er who wants 1/2 for a few seeds is the whore.
