whats a safe way to hold the air stones in place i the res?

yeah i just need a fuckin rock or stainless steel something heavy and small that will hold my shit down and not damage the water at all. i change water every two weeks or so and have a reserve gallon to fill in between weeks. ghetto but its what does it for me i dont need back up res yet for only 4 girls

No, it won't. Just make sure you get stainless steel. A nickel plated nut looks like stainless. The nickel will eventually rust.
