i know not to get any of the knock-offs cause theres a coating that comes off. but for dry ice, can i just use the Bubble Bags or should i check out some of these dry ice bags? I just want a product i wont have to replace any time soon.

I've used a 73 micron bag in the past with no issues. Just don't shake for too long as you end up with a green and tasteless product. Making dry ice kief is just about the easiest method I've ever used but I do prefer using water...

For dry ice hash your bubble bags will work fine as long as you dont stuff them full and leave the dry ice trim mix for extended periods of time.

I don't make the best hash, but what I produce does fine for me and the wife, below are some pics of my last hash making excursion.

Like I said definately not the best product, but fun to make and ingest. :-P

regards,

hey, that looks good enough for me. i figure as long as its better than bud, im good. im worried about quantity rather than quality. im just doin this as a hobby for now, just cause i like hash.
that shit looks pretty good tho. what is your % of yield?

I cannot remember but was quite small, from the above harvest I think there was about 8oz dry and I got about 25g or so total; so a little less than an oz.

I would say if your just trying to make hash you can use up all your bud and trim and get a good % ratio.

regards,

I've used cheap ebay bags for 3 years with no problem. They don't peal on me.
I use small amounts, about 2oz in a 5 gallon bag. I use my 220 bag now. I shake very easy and stop as soon as I start scrap as soon as I see any color change. The kief will fall off and pass thought the screen quickly. Once the plant starts breaking down it doesn't matter what size micro you use, the plant matter will break down fast and small and start coming through. Using the 220 I end up with less Keif trapped in the bag. I then do a QWISO on the plant matter later and got 6 grams of thick oil again.
The real key is gentle. Its fast, easy and cheap.

so using plant matter youre gettin about 12%. so i should get more using buds and everything. and yea i plan on doin a qwiso afterwards, or maybe butane. or both just for shits and giggles. ive done the iso before, but sometimes i still get the bad taste. so idk, ill see when i get there.

I use the Boldt bags for my dry ice runs as they are super tough reliable and worth every penny. Make sure you break up the dry ice into golf ball sized chunks if possbile, that way more surface area to make contact with your trim or buds. And as stated earlier you do not want to sit there and shake forever...you'll introduce alot of plant material turning your kief greenish. Below is an example of a 1.5 min shake (lighter color followed by the same material again, but shaken longer for approx.3 mins. FYI this was done with the 73 micron Boldt bag.
