Hi guys

What do you thinks better:

big CFLs: 125w, 250w 300w...

Or

small wattage CFLs: 26w-46w

So basically low wattage CFLs VS High wattage CFLs.

I have 3 125w cfls i was just wondering if i would get better results for say smaller wat bulbs but equal wattage.

Just seeing if anyone wants to discuss :D:D:D:D:D:D:joint::joint:

i am a keen cfl grower and i would definitely say, have your main big lights , as high wattage as possible, as they are far more effective and then supplement with extra low wattage bulbs that can be effectively put close to the canopy and particular places, fit into small dark gaps and what not. Its far better to have a primary light that does most of the work and then have it supported by a few smaller lights than messing about with lots of small lights that won't be able to give you a decent luminescence density. Basically it is the balance between high light levels and evenly spread light sources. Fluro t8/t5 are very energy efficient but can be a bit awkward and more costly to set up. i used 300w 8U cfl's for the entire veg and flower cycle and got a pretty good result of my last grow.
