A bonded title is another name for a document known as a Certificate of Title Surety. Utilized in lieu of a standard car title, obtaining the bond makes it possible to move forward with registering the motor vehicle with the local Department of Motor Vehicles or DMV. The document also serves as proof of ownership, making it possible to purchase insurance for the vehicle.

Well you might ask why the title is bonded. It'd suck to buy a car with a bonded title only to find out it was bonded because the car wasn't really theirs to sell in the first place.

a bonded title has the same concept as a branded title which will decrease the value of the car significantly and usually a bonded title comes from a wreck so i would get it checked out by a mechanic

Branded title sounds like a salvage title, but I can't find anything that makes a bonded title sound like a branded/salvage title. The bonded title just means that for a period of three years someone can challenge your ownership of the car. I actually just found something that says vehicles issued a branded title are excluded from the definition of "vehicle" as far as bonded titles are concerned.
