Yep. Grizzly be dead on. That's a slug or caterpillar. I'd almost guarantee it. I can tell by how big, yet random the chomps are. I've had this before and it was slugs.

alright thanks guys, I'll check for slugs and caterpillars today. Is there any time of day in particular that they will be out?

Dude I'm having the same problem. I have outdoor about 6 weeks in and they are getting those small holes too. I've been using neem oil with no real success. Let me know what works best and if you have any luck getting rid of them.

So I bought some caterpillar killer with BT in it and dusted my plants with it yesterday. So far, no new holes. I also transplanted my plants from the 2 gallon pots they were in to 6 gallon pots today. Tied down the majority of the branches for some LST.

A ring of salt around ur plants will keep them bitches away. Salt = death for slugs/snails so they stay away..

DE (Diatemecous Earth) would be a better choice to put down on the ground. Slugs will NOT like it as their bodies are all slick and will get instantly coated. Also putting down excessive amounts of salts is a sure way to get nutrient lock out due to salt build up. You can get bags of DE at any Pool supply store- It is used in alot of pool water filtering systems. Good luck!
