Howdy folks, I'm getting old and memories are fading. I can't think well anymore as my 2 remaining brain cells are fighting each other for dominance.
This is my first grow in 14 yrs. Allegedly this individual is Sour D, today is day 57 since dropping the lights. Its in soil, supplemented with Hy-Gen bloom and Bio Diesel trych booster.
Any ideas what's goin on 'ere?
Its only this one stem.
P.s. I had the loupe and tweezers out this morning and removed 4 very small bananas.

Thanks

I see what you're seeing.
Look at the stem. Any breaks? Cracks? Lot of the time a bud will grow wonky like that with a damaged stem that hasn't repaired properly. Especially if you bent it down. Could be separated from the main stalk. Could also be a mutation I forget what it's called. Whirly something or other. Lol

Spot on JJ! I got in there and its cracked at the main stalk. I must have gotten a little rough when tying her down. I've not seen one go like that. Sorry for something so simple. Thanks all, I'm now goin to chop it off!

Looks like a mutation to me, caused by stress by breaking the stem?. I've chucked a lot of seeds and sometimes the outcome is not what you've expected. I've had all kinds of weird bud formations and structures, most are negative but sometimes you find a good one out of the bunch!

I also think you're running the lights a little bit to close but I read you've since raised the lights.

If it's not too bad just wrap it with some grafting tape. If you don't have that around saran wrap works too. Just a bit awkward trying to get it on. I've even gone as far as putting a pin through it to secure it to the main until it heals. (sterilize the pin of coarse and dab with peroxide). Snipping it off is certainly the easiest way, with less problems. If you've seen nanners it's likely stressed anyways and will never bounce back to the same size the other buds are. I've left them on before, and got budrot in that bud. It's just weaker so things will affect it more easily.
Don't be sorry, asking questions helps find the answer quicker. It's something I've dealt with before so as soon as I seen it I had a sneaky suspicion that was the cause. Glad I could be of service. Plant looks great btw.

It only has a couple of weeks to go, I'll cut it off , but maybe I'll know what I'm looking at next time. Thanks
