What's going on here?

So this Rainbow Kush is around 19 days old. When it sprouted it was stunted, with 1 leaf stuck over the other awkwardly, now 3 weeks later it still has wierd growth. It started in a solo cup and is now in a much bigger 10 gallon pot so if it was nutrients I would think the roots would have grown past the initial dirt by now and have nutritionally balanced soil.

let me take a wild guess, is it an auto? auto's have ruderalis in them and it can and does cause strange growth. looks like you have a runt there. if you have the space, keep it, its allways interesting to see how they come out.
i had a northan lights plant that was 1 foot x 1 foot and ended up being one giant bud, yep, the whole plant was just one big flower,it was wierd, nice smoke too.
but you may need the space to be filled with perfect plants, in that case, get a new seed on the go if you have one

It was a freebee seed, Rainbow Kush, 90% sure it is a photoperiod. I have had the worst luck sprouting seeds recently that I am nursing even runts to life for sure. This was a gift for a friend who couldn't get any seeds started and he is so proud of his first grow he doesn't care. He's got 2 others that are thriving anyhow. Hopefully this one pulls through like your suggesting or just grows wierd but gives some good flowers anyhow. It's sisters look near perfect so far

Make sure to keep an eyeball on it when you flip.
Any "weird" seed I've ever tried growing out has 99% of the time hermied on me fwiw.
Good looking out. 3 years of growing here, 10 indoor crops, 3 outdoor grows and only one real full hermie thankfully so far. Though random seeds show up here and there.
We actually had an amazing piece of luck with a random seed outside this year. NO IDEA what genetics it was, just a random seed germinated on its own. It was already 8" by mid March, I dont even plant here until mid May. I figured I'd let it grow, by October we had an 8' wide monster, but the best part was it tasted like Apricots and everyone loves it. Sadly all attempts to clone the post flower branches failed.
